A native of Las Vegas, Nevada, Bowd Beal started in show business at the early age of five. His first paid "gig" was for 25¢ in his own backyard, performing the routines of Laurel and Hardy. After much growing up and excelling in various athletics, Bowd felt the calling back to the stage. He auditioned for his high school musical "The Boyfriend," and received the lead, as well as rave reviews. "The audience was very appreciative and I didn't have to get tackled anymore." From that musical, Bowd went on to form a comedy troup and rock band, yet continued to perform in the school theatre productions and choir.

Upon graduating high school and being flooded with vocal and theatre scholarships, Bowd chose to stay in his hometown to attend the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. This afforded him the opportunity to hone his craft on numerous concert and theatre stages in an area where he had already established his reputation as a performer.

All throughout this period, Bowd was working part-time at a glass company to pay for school. The company sent him to Laughlin, and it was there he was discovered to star in his first professional film, "Thunder Run."

After completing this feature, Bowd came back to Las Vegas to focus on his acting technique. He studied with Steve Rapella, and that led him to Los Angeles to study cold readings at Take One Studios and scene studies with Howard Fine. Recognized for his talent in comedy, dramatic interpretation and athleticism, Bowd has since traveled back and forth from Los Angeles and Las Vegas starring in various theatre, film and television spots. He has been seen in the WB's "The Strip" and CBS's "Promised Land."

Bowd currently resides in Burbank, California and just wrapped his production of "Life X 3" at the Elephant Asylum Theater.
